We’ve got a couple big anthems coming up and then we’ll relax a bit in june!  We are doing Come Worship God – Martin this coming sunday on mother’s day.  Then we’ll do Solomon’s Temple on the 20th.  Choir is off the last sunday in May and our last rehearsal of the season is May 30th. Keep me up to date on the calendar so we can plan and lead well in worship the next couple months!  See you Soon :)

Festival

The worship festival in Hickory, NC is this Saturday – should be a fun day of singing and fellowship!  You will need to be at the church at 8:30am with your robe, music and folder.

I’ve uploaded here some of the upcoming anthems for you to listen to. Also be looking for coming information on an easter program – something fairly simple since we are getting close already!

Seems like it rains every wednesday!  Might as well practice our music…tonight we’ll spend some good time on it is well and distant land.  I plan to start with a short sectional separating out the 2nd sopranos so you all can focus on just your parts!  See you tonight!!!

Lots to learn tonight

We have a couple great nights this week and next to work on parts and catch up on christmas music.  Our goal is to have everything learned through the end of the year by the end of November…just in case!  We are on our way…a couple hard anthems coming up in november but absolutely gorgeous ones to learn.  Then advent starts November 27th!  Tonights  big goal is to make sure we all know who’s singing what part in Distant land – at times there are 8 parts.  This piece and a few other are in your boxes so make sure you go upstairs before rehearsal.

Also remember TB sectional at 6:30pm.

Cloudy Day

Today is a good day for a choir rehearsal!  It’s cloudy and rainy – might as well gather together to sing and worship!  We have another good night to work on nailing down parts to some of our harder anthems that are coming up.  We will NOT have sectionals but will work on specific parts of each song standing in groups together to really hear our own parts.  We will also keep working on our new christmas pieces.  See you soon!
